While we love us some good old American muscle, the word “luxury”
isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when we think of V8 powered
beasts built in Detroit. The 2014 Equus BASS770 is the first vehicle built here in the states that’s looking to be crowned the ultimate luxury muscle car.
Taking
obvious design cues from our favorite classic muscle cars of the 1960s
and 1970s, the Equus Bass 770 was made in Detroit, and is much more than
just a pretty face. While the tailored leather interior and high tech
gadgetry found throughout the cabin is a nice touch, it’s the
supercar-like performance that has us falling head over heels for this
bad boy.
The 2-door muscle car is equipped with supercharged 6.2 liter
V8 engine that puts down a ground shaking 640 horsepower and 605 lb-ft
of torque. Thanks to a lightweight aluminum constructed chassis and
body, the Equus BASS770 blitzes from 0-60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. With
all these supercar and luxury references, you already know this thing
will be expensive, and limited. The Equus BASS770 luxury muscle car will
sell for around $250,000, and will offer up a ton of customization
options.
